MHS Drama Department presents: Singing in the Rain Jr., Thursday, November 20, and Friday, November 21, at 7:30 p.m.

There will be a special matinee for Senior Citizens on Wednesday, November 19, at 1:00 p.m.

General Admission is $5 for all seats.

Today was our first Acorns to Oaks in first grade. Mrs. Sanders' class read with our Oaks and then we played a math game. The students were excited to share part of their day with their Oak and are looking forward to next Thursday when we meet again!

There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, November 11, for anyone interested in attending Salina Area Tech as a part time students during their junior and senior years. We will cover requirements for attending along with the various programs that are available to students. The meeting will begin at 6:30 in the auditorium and will last about an hour.

On Friday, at Fall Fest, a group of Mrs. Lott's Chemistry II students entertained and educated MGS students with a fun Mad Science Lab. They did a wonderful job of not only entertaining, but explaining the chemical reactions occurring!

If you want to learn how to advocate for Kansas students and public education, there is a free training and dinner on Tuesday, October 28, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Smoky Hills Education Center at 605 E. Crawford St., in Salina, KS. To RSVP, call 785-825-9185. Game On For Kansas Schools and Kansas for Excellence in Education are hosting this event. During the workshop, parents will learn about significant education issues in Kansas.
