USD 239 will have a 2-hour late start tomorrow. Our country roads are drifting shut again. Please contact your bus driver to let them know if your road is not passable and to make other arrangements. If you are unable to make different arrangements you will have the choice to bring your child to school or keep them at home. Please call the driver before 8:30 or contact Stoney at 785-488-6704 before 8:30. If you plan on keeping them home please contact the school office.

Just a reminder. The junior high wrestling parent meeting is tonight at 5:30 in the auditorium.

North Ottawa County Schools introduces Dr. Curtis Stevens as Superintendent of Schools for the 2024-2025 school year. Dr. Stevens is currently serving as the Director of Secondary Education in the Salina School District. He is in his fourth year in that position. Previously, Dr. Stevens served as principal of Salina South High School for six years. USD 239 welcomes Dr. Stevens and his family to the North Ottawa County School District. Dr. Stevens will begin on July 1st.

USD 239 will be closed, tomorrow, January 16th.

HS wrestling practice is canceled for Monday.

Reminder that tomorrow is a Professional Development Day for teachers. There is no school tomorrow for students at USD 239.

Today, Mr. Ronald Orsak will be interviewing for the position of superintendent with the board of education. Mr. Orsak is currently serving as the Middle School Principal for the Cheney School District. He is in his seventh year in that position. Previously, Mr. Orsak served as the AD/Assistant Principal for McPherson Middle School for one year. There will be a meet and greet from 3:40-4:30 today in the High School cafeteria.
