The Minneapolis High School Lions Football team hit the road on Friday, August 29, traveling to Southeast Saline for an exciting Football Jamboree! The Lions Football Team scrimmaged alongside Abilene, Lindsborg, and Southeast Saline, giving fans a preview of what’s to come this fall. With first-year Head Coach Galanski at the helm, this season promises growth, grit, and great memories. A strong fan base from Minneapolis traveled to SES and appeared energized and ready to watch some football. Let’s go, Lions—bring on the fall under those Friday night lights! #LionPride

Tomorrow night we will host our HS Volleyball Jamboree in the new gym starting at 4pm. JH Football will have their open practice/scrimmage starting at 5pm followed by JH volleyball in the old gym @ 5:30pm. Cross Country will have their open practice/scrimmage at 5:30pm as well. All will have parent meetings at the conclusion of the night.

JH/HS Cross Country will go at 6:15am Monday and Tuesday Morning due to the heat/humidity forecasted for the beginning of next week. Decisions for later in the week will be made once we have a better idea of what the weather will be and how we need to proceed.

HS FOOTBALL UPDATE-Monday and Tuesday due to the heat/humidity HS football will practice @ 7:30pm if the weather stays as forecasted. If there are changes or updates we will make decisions prior to 1pm for the HS football practice schedule. Decisions for later on in the week will be made once we get closer.
