Minneapolis Junior Senior High School recently welcomed student leaders from area schools for a regional student council conference focused on leadership, collaboration, and school involvement. The event provided students with an opportunity to connect with other young leaders while developing skills they can take back to their own schools.
Throughout the morning, students participated in leadership-driven activities, collaborated with peers, and explored strategies to strengthen student leadership and make a positive impact in their schools and communities. “We had a great turnout with lots of fun and leadership-driven activities!” according to Berklee Hessman, MJSHS Junior.
The conference also provided valuable opportunities for adult sponsors. Sponsors participated in breakout sessions to share best practices, discuss challenges, and build professional connections with other student council advisers.
Events like this give students the chance to learn from one another, practice leadership skills, and return to their schools with new ideas and renewed enthusiasm for making a difference. #LIONPRIDE!
