Prom

The weather on Saturday evening was perfect as our students gathered for this year’s Minneapolis Senior Prom, showcasing style and community spirit. Dressed in sharp tuxedos and elegant gowns, students arrived looking their absolute best.

The festivities began with the traditional promenade, which drew an estimated 150 participants. Family members, friends, and community supporters filled the sidewalks of MJSHS to watch students make their grand entrances, a highlight that continues to bring our North Ottawa County Community together each spring.

Promonade

Prom night remains one of the most anticipated events of the school year, offering students a chance to celebrate with classmates. It also serves as a meaningful occasion for parents and community members to share in the excitement, reinforcing the strong sense of Lion Pride.

This year’s event was made especially memorable thanks to the hard work and dedication of the junior class, along with the support of faculty sponsors and parents. Their efforts were evident in every detail, from decorations to organization, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable evening for all.

Adding to the experience, Shane McClintock, a former area radio DJ, served as master of ceremonies, elevating the night with professional-grade sound and an energetic music selection.

As the evening drew to a close, it was clear that this year’s prom was not just a dance but a celebration of community, collaboration, and the lasting memories that define the high school experience. A special thank you to all the students and parents who helped with the dinner and post-prom event at The Farm. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and are what makes this a premier community. #LionPride!
