On Tuesday, March 10, the Minneapolis Junior High School students proudly represented their school's vocal program at the KWU contest in Salina, KS, delivering outstanding performances across the board. The ladies’ ensemble performed “Why We Sing” and earned a Division I rating, while the boys impressed judges with their rendition of “We’re the Men,” receiving an Advanced Performance (AP) distinction.
In addition to the group performances, five students showcased their talents through vocal solos, each delivering a strong, confident performance. Every participant rose to the occasion, giving their best performance of the year.
The day wasn’t all competition—students also enjoyed lunch at Bogey's restaurant and spent time bonding over a few rounds of UNO while awaiting their turn to perform.
Overall, the Minneapolis Junior High Vocal Program was exceptionally well represented. A special thank you to our students and vocal instructor, Mrs. Hocking, for exhibiting Lion Pride! #Motivated
