Lions Club Pancake

The Minneapolis Noon and Evening Lions Clubs once again joined forces to host their annual Pancake Feed, raising funds to support scholarships for local high school students. Each year, nearly 30 dedicated volunteers plan and execute the event, arriving as early as 5:45 a.m. to flip pancakes, serve guests, and work shifts until the final plates are cleared around 1:00 p.m.

Held at the local VFW Post 3201, which generously provides its kitchen and seating area, the event draws hunters, families, and visitors to our community. Guests enjoy pancakes, sausage, and scrambled eggs—all paired with coffee and orange juice. The Lions ask only a free-will donation, with all proceeds going toward scholarships.

Hunters

Thank you to all the volunteers and participants of this event who helped raise and contribute money for scholarships for students in Ottawa County. Although such community gatherings and civic engagement are becoming rare across our nation, it is refreshing to know that here in Minneapolis, KS, community still matters.
