On their day off from school due to a teacher in-service, a group of approximately 20 Minneapolis High School Students, who are members of the National Honor Society, spent their morning volunteering to repaint the faded handrails on the east side of the high school.
Armed with brushes and trays of navy-blue paint, the students worked together to give the area a fresh new look and show Lion Pride in their school.
USD 239 Superintendent Dr. Stevens praised the students’ efforts, saying, “I’m extremely proud of them for stepping up to help out their school. District staff have been working hard to get maintenance projects caught up before winter sets in, so when I received an email from Kaitlyn Worlock, a MJSHS Senior, asking if students could help, I was reminded at how blessed we are in Ottawa County to have students who are willing to give back to their school. Thank you to all who helped!” #LionPride!
