On October 31, 2025, students at Minneapolis Grade School celebrated the season with a lively Fall Festival. For the final hour and a half of the school day, students rotated through a variety of engaging stations featuring community presenters and hands-on learning experiences.
Highlights included performances by a magician and ventriloquist, flying drones with computer simulators, and discovering wildlife through a presentation by a presenter from Rolling Hills Zoo.
Students also met a beekeeper, built gliders with a presenter from the Kansas Cosmosphere, and heard from a panel of high school students about what it’s like to attend high school. Other activities included a LEGO building challenge, playing bingo, and experiencing a petting zoo featuring miniature ponies, cows, donkeys, pigs, sheep, and goats.
The event was filled with smiles, laughter, and learning. This annual fall favorite highlights one of the many North Ottawa County Public School Programs that work to foster a premier community inspiring all to learn, work, and thrive through meaningful connections and educational opportunities.
