On October 21, the community gathered in the old gym at Minneapolis Junior Senior High School to welcome home Lillian Hulse, an alumnus from the MJSHS Class of 2025, who returned as the Kansas State FFA President.
Surrounded by community business leaders, educators, and students, Miss Hulse shared her experiences and the many opportunities FFA has given her to grow, learn, and lead. She spoke about witnessing firsthand the vital role agricultural education plays in shaping our nation’s future.
Grateful for those who guided her along the way, she expressed deep appreciation for her hometown’s support. Miss Hulse noted, “When I joined the organization as a timid seventh grader, I never believed I would gain the knowledge and appreciation for agriculture I now have. FFA has helped me find and utilize my voice, which has made me a confident leader. I am now blessed to serve Kansas FFA and encourage others to find their own confidence and love for agriculture.”

MJSHS has approximately 100 students in FFA, or nearly 1/3 of the Junior-Senior High School. FFA is a CTSO or Career Technical Student Organization that helps students prepare for leadership and careers in the science, business, and technology of agriculture. USD 239 North Ottawa County Public School congratulates Miss Hulse and wishes her the best in her future endeavors. #LionPride!
