Our first-year students continue to impress us with their bubbly personalities and enthusiasm for scientific discovery. Mrs. Baccus stated, "This month, we're diving deep into fundamental scientific skills, particularly the Scientific Method. We are focusing on understanding variables (independent and dependent), learning about controls and constants, practicing lab safety, and getting familiar with lab equipment."
The students experimented with bubble solutions to see which mixture creates the largest bubbles. They discovered that a special mix of Dawn dish soap and Glycerin produces the most impressive bubbles. Some bubbles grew to over 60 cm - more than 2 feet long for those who aren't science experts!
This is another example of how our educators are working hard to boost student engagement and align our curriculum to the new Kansas State Standards, major initiatives in USD 239 North Ottawa County Public Schools for the 2025-2026 school year. #LionPride #MotivatedHonorableSafe
