Mrs. Hocking’s vocal students at Minneapolis Junior-Senior High School participated in a fun and creative lock-in on Friday, August 15. Held at the high school, the event focused on building teamwork and school spirit. Students participated in a tin foil challenge, creating themed items such as a high heel and a large Barbie “B” — all inspired by this year’s Barbie theme.
Team-building activities included wrapping presents using only their non-dominant hand, encouraging collaboration, and laughter. The night ended with an exciting game of volleyball.
This event is another example of the exceptional programming offered at North Ottawa County Schools, led by the inspiring Mrs. Hocking. It exemplifies USD 239’s vision of being a premier community that inspires all to learn, work, and thrive.
