Coach Galanski

Minneapolis Senior High School proudly welcomed new head football coach Garrett Galanski during a special meeting with the MJSHS football players and their parents on Wednesday, June 18, at the MJSHS Auditorium.

Coach Galanski brings a strong background to the Lions’ program, having played football at the collegiate level and past experience as the head coach at Sacred Heart in Salina, Kansas.

In his remarks, Coach Galanski emphasized his commitment to both athletic and academic excellence. “We are here to help them grow as athletes, but first and foremost as students in the classroom. Our players are expected not to have any D’s or F’s. We will have a breakfast club that meets from 7:30-8 to help ensure they excel academically,” he shared.

Coach Galanski also stressed the importance of communication and student well-being. “My door is always open. I’m here to push our athletes to be their best in the weightroom and on the field, but also to support them as they navigate the daily challenges of being a high school student,” he said.

Minneapolis High School is excited to move into the upcoming season under Coach Galanski’s leadership and vision, focused on discipline, growth, and team success, on and off the field.
