Minneapolis High School proudly honored the Class of 2025 during a commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the MHS Gymnasium. The event was a significant milestone for the 50 graduates, who walked the stage. The class colors were North Carolina Blue and White. The graduates selected the white rose as their class flower.

USD 239 Board of Education President Tara Chesney and Superintendent Dr. Curtis Stevens were in attendance to present diplomas and honor the graduates. The ceremony was led by Principal Mr. Terry Moeckel, Assistant Principal Mr. Ryan Mortimer, and Counselor Ms. Val Beikmann.
Highlights included a senior address by Lillian Hulse, Raelyn Robinson, and Josi Schrader, as well as exceptional musical performances by the MHS Choir, performing “Remember” by Victor Johnson, and the MHS Band performing “Hercules vs the Hydra” by Scott Watson. Mrs. Keri Pratt, a 2026 Region 1 Finalist for Kansas Teacher of the Year, delivered the commencement address.
Class officers, faculty, and junior ushers supported the event, which concluded with a reception line in front of the school. The ceremony honored not just academic achievement but also the spirit of the class, whose motto, by Gandhi, read: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
