Mrs. Willoughby's 7th and 8th grade science classes collected pennies for penguins to help support the penguin exhibit at Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure this summer. Students collected and donated $100.00 in pennies to adopt a penguin. The class collecting the most pennies was 7A (pictured above). Students received the plush penguin and an adoption certificate from Rolling Hills as a thank you. They voted to call the penguin "Penny". read more
Mr. Tyler Konrade, World History and World Geography instructor at Minneapolis High School, will be leading an EF Educational Tours trip to Costa Rica next summer. The trip is open to anyone interested. There will be an informational meeting about the trip on May 15th, 2013, at 7:00 pm in Mr. Konradeās classroom, Room 119 at MJSHS. If you are interested, please attend the meeting to learn more about the opportunity to go whitewater rafting, kayaking, and zip lining over the rain forest! read more
Thirty students were recognized for demonstrating Great Acts of Character at the Minneapolis Grade School for the month of April. They were honored with a certificate and their name was added to the PRIDE WALL of MGS.
