Happy Bear Makes a Visit to MGS
April 16, 2012
Happy Bear and Vicki Price from the Child Advocacy and Parenting Services of Salina (CAPS) came to the Minneapolis Grade School on April 2, 4, and 12. “Happy Bear” is a program designed to teach children about good and bad touch. Happy Bear teaches children to never keep secrets about touches and what children should do if they get a touch that makes them feel mad, sad, or scared. The MGS Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade enjoyed Happy Bear’s lesson. Mrs. Boyer’s second graders were very involved as they did role plays in the classroom.
