Lady Lions Basketball 2009-2010 Basketball Season Underway

The 2009-2010 MHS women’s basketball season is starting with familiar and not so familiar faces. The Lions have many new additions to the team, including 8 freshmen, a sophomore, and a senior.
Connor Fulton, a senior this year, is back from a one year absence at Minneapolis High School. “I’m glad to be back to play, and I think that we are going to be more experienced than last year,” claims Fulton.
Besides the
freshmen, the ladies gained a new addition from Tescott, a
sophomore, Bayleigh Walker. Coach Weatherman, his second year
with the Lady Lions, is coaching along with second year assistant,
Sara Hocking.
The Lady Lions’ first game is in the Tri County Classic in
Bennington, Kansas, on December 7th. Fulton states, “I’m
ready for games to start. I think we are going to be a very
good team, and I just can’t wait to see.”
