Homecoming 2009

The MHS Homecoming was held on Friday, October 9. The annual parade through downtown kicked off the day at 3:00 p.m. Float winners were: Freshmen, 1st Place; Juniors, 2nd Place; and Seniors; 3rd Place. Winners of the business window decorating contest were: Sophomores, 1st Place; Seniors, 2nd Place; and FCCLA, 3rd Place.
The annual crowning of the king and queen took place at 6:30 p.m. prior to the MHS football game versus Republic County. Meghan Heikes and Dillon Hackett were crowned the 2009 Queen and King.
Following the football game, where the Lions defeated the Buffs, the MHS students concluded the festivities by enjoying a Homecoming Dance at Minneapolis Grade School.
