Forensics Team Places 2nd at Salina Central

The Minneapolis High School Forensics Team competed in the Salina Central Invitational on Saturday, February 20, 2010.  There were 22 schools attending.  Sumner Academy placed 1st, Minneapolis placed 2nd, Garden City placed 3rd, Buhler placed 4th, and Bennington placed 5th.  Individual medal winners for MJSHS were:

Others competing and earning sweepstakes points were Keith Allen, Daryl Simmons, and Julie Gavin.

 

MHS Forensics Coach Mrs. Bergman commented, "This was a crazy, big tournament, and we were excited to finish 2nd.  The first place team and most of the individual event top finishers were from Sumner, which is a 5A magnet school for the perfoming arts.  It's always good to see how we stack up to tough competition.
