FFA Horse Judging Team Places 4th

The Minneapolis FFA horse judging team placed 4th out of 17 schools in the North Central District horse judging career development event. The event was held at Keats in the Fox Creek Equestrian Center near Manhattan on October 3. Individually, Alyson McCall placed 7th and out of 121 contestants. Also competing were Johnathan Reid, Trevor Girard, Jessica Smith and Kassi Smith. The contest consisted of five classes with a set of oral reasons for a halter and a performance class. Participants also took a written test. Clay Center won the event with 1022 points, followed by Southeast of Saline scoring 988. Riley County was third with 985 points, Minneapolis in fourth, and Chapman placing fifth with 982 points.
