On Thursday, September 20, 2018, the Minneapolis Grade School was visited by a real SUPER HERO.  “Guardian,” a member of Omegaman and Friends, presented an assembly focused on Good Character and Preventing Bullying. The Omegaman team has been featured on national news and has toured the entire USA spreading their message to schools. The team teaches students that H.E.R.O. stands for Helping Everyone Respect Others.  Guardian showed his power by breaking a baseball bat over his leg, bending a piece of iron with his teeth, and ripping a HUGE phone book into two pieces with his bare hands.  He also lifted two students high into the air to test the steel rod. Another student held on tightly to his dream as Guardian lifted him with a towel.  The students screamed and cheered the wonderful performance and message offered by Andy Gavin aka Guardian. He ended the program with the message that anyone can be a HERO if we make good choices and hold on to our dreams.  The broken bat, the bent steel rod, the phone book, posters and new comic books were left at MGS for reminders of the message.
